At Beechboro Primary School, our English program is built on a strong, evidence-based foundation and delivered through a consistent whole-school approach. We use high-impact teaching programs such as PLD (Promoting Literacy Development), Word Origins, and Talk for Writing to explicitly teach phonics, spelling, vocabulary, reading, and writing across all year levels. Our commitment to a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) ensures that every student receives the level of instruction they need to thrive.
For students who require additional targeted support, we provide small-group intervention programs including MiniLit and MacqLit, helping build essential literacy skills and confidence.
We are also proud to participate in the Speech Pathologist in Schools Program (SPiS), which provides identified students with additional support in speech, language, and literacy. Through collaboration with staff, our dedicated speech pathologist works at our school one day each week and delivers targeted intervention.
At Beechboro Primary School, we are dedicated to nurturing capable, enthusiastic, and lifelong readers, writers and communicators.
